What Are Injectable Veneers?

Injectable veneers at Newport Beach Dental Studio.

Injectable veneers are a special technique performed by Dr. Ha at Newport Beach Dental Studio done chairside. Different from traditional porcelain ceramic veneers, injectable veneers are made by injecting a specialized liquid resin into a digitally designed mold that’s fitted in the mouth. The resin is then light-cured and hardens and bonds against the surface of your teeth. This recreates the shape and size of your teeth. Injectable veneers are a great alternative to porcelain veneers as they are cost-friendly and minimally invasive. Most of the time, no drilling of the teeth is required.

How Much Do Injectable Veneers Cost?

We charge a flat fee of $500 per tooth and require a non-refundable $300 diagnostic design fee. The diagnostic design fee is required so that we can digitally design your future smile, 3D print your models, and show you what your new smile will look like prior to the procedure.

Am I a Candidate for Injectable Veneers?

Not everyone will be a candidate for injectable veneers, especially those with severely misaligned or rotated teeth. If you have weakened teeth, heavily decayed, or broken down teeth, this procedure is not recommended. This is because the veneers are very thin and can only cover so much until additional treatment is needed for optimum results.

How Long Do They Last?

These are permanently bonded to your teeth and to remove them would require drilling them off. With proper care of your teeth, they should last 5+ years.

Which Teeth Can Be Veneered?

We recommend all the teeth that show when you smile, so everyone is a little different; some people show more teeth when they smile, others show less. We do not veneer molar teeth, as they endure the most forces and can break. Additionally, molar teeth usually don’t show when you smile.

What’s the Process Like?

If you’re interested in injectable veneers, an initial consultation is required so that Dr. Ha can assess your smile and bite. If he deems that you are a good fit for this procedure, he will take digital scans of your teeth and discuss the size and shape you desire. Following the initial appointment, Dr. Ha will have the diagnostic model ready for you to inspect. If you are happy with it, the procedure can be started the same day.

We also offer 3D-printed dental veneers. Similar to injectable veneers, these are permanent restorations that can change the size, shape, and/or color of your teeth. 3D-printed veneers are a great alternative to traditional porcelain veneers; they cost less and can be completed in a matter of days.
